靈感來自中國瓦當圖典上的漩渦造型，覺得似乎也可以運用在頂端同是平坦的貝雷帽上，於是開始了這頂帽子的設計。 從兼具保暖與造型下手，雙層的帽沿可以不用擔心冷風灌進帽子中，戴起來也更加貼合舒適。

因為針數與針法設計的關係，編織過程中不需換針。帽頂運用了針法變化，讓織物更厚更保暖，而麻花也有旋轉的感覺。

The swirl shape was inspired by a pattern of an ancient Chinese eaves tile. I tried to mimic it, and it turns out a good look as a beret.

I knit my first one using Lana Grossa Bingo and tested knitting with Lana Grossa Alta Moda Alpaka. All the color I chose was red since this beret was designed during Chinese new year and red color represents good fortune to Chinese people! This beret was designed with a super stretchy brim to fit a wider range of head circumference. Written instructions and chart are included.
