線材：1mm 羊毛線 底色 120 g, 羽毛 80 g

尺寸：下水前--  60 x 180 公分   下水後-- 80 x 200 公分

編織時數：
這條從12/31~1/25 編織共費時  95 小時。
時數不包含織圖思考與第一次嘗試編織所花的時間

Tools： KP circular needle  3.5mm  40"
Yarn：fingering weight yarn, background 120 g, feathers 80g
Size： Before blocking--  60 x 180 cm, After blocking-- 80 x 200 cm

Time spent on knitting：
From 12/31~1/25   total cost 95 hours

以此披肩紀念去年離開我們的三隻綠繡眼---小綠綠三兄弟

這篇文章是一邊製作一邊隨時記錄的筆記，所以是有點長的碎念流水帳@@

since I added new notes while found out new things during knitting (Included personal thought lol)

2014十月初，還是個棒針生手，對織圖不熟...更遑論英文織圖...
下定決心要學好棒針時，瀏覽網路看到許多人分享的這條美麗的披肩
就一直夢想著自己能夠打一條 !
那時才剛開始學打帽子，而且連一支輪針都沒有
所以一直只能抱持著欣賞的心情...
因為是外國付費織圖，加上信用卡被盜有點害怕的緣故... 只能與原版織圖擦身而過...

直到十一月中，在手滑敗入許多毛線、工具
也陸陸續續完成許多帽子，並學會自己設計、畫織圖後
下定決心要來研究一下這條披肩打法!!
於是，收集了網路上所有可以找到的資源，自己推敲針法
想辦法仿出一條自己的夢鳥披肩 (除了上班時間...搭車、吃飯、睡覺都在想XD)

十一月底看到免費的火焰披肩織圖，對於夢鳥的編織設計又有新的想法...
也繼續鬼打牆的推敲> <

十二月中，終於大致上決定羽毛的針數了!
因為是看許多織友們分享的作品得知，夢鳥披肩是由一組組的羽毛組成
所以開始慢慢去推、分配顏色與所需針數
期間把網路有織夢鳥的朋友們的部落格都參觀了一遍...

I started learning knitting at the beginning of October, 2014.
At that time, all I had were a bunch of DPNs which I got from my grandmom. I came across to this beautiful shawl while searching for some patterns and tutorials for beginners...... I really want to knit it...maybe some day...

After spending about a month on learning the skills I need for knitting, collecting essential tools(markers, circular needles....etc) and finished many hats for my family, I thought I was ready to start this shawl!
Unfortunately, my card got some problem at that time, so I can't purchase anything online... and I decided to figure it out by myself.
It was really hard at the beginning, and I had no clue about it in the middle of November, 2014. Drawing, erasing patterns and surfing on the Internet for useful material/ideas were the only things I did during that time.

At the end of November, 2014. I came across a shawl called scarf-with flame with looked really like Dreambird! and became pretty excited... although there are small differences between these two shawl, which I have to modify.

In the middle of December, 2014, the first version was done finally! and all I had to do was starting to knit and fixed small glitches in the pattern I have drawn.^^

My mess notebook and the first feather I've done. spent about 10 hrs

之後慢慢成長到2片...
但在12月23日...因為發現有個小地方可以再改進..所以整個拆掉重打...
(花5分鐘拆掉打了20小時多的東西...T^T)

I ripped it out at December 23, 2014, since I found there was a better way to carrying yarn.

只好繼續努力前進....還要收拾拆線的殘局.....
在新的做法中，順便改進了一開始沒有考慮到的渡線方式與德式引反編(原先用日式的)

So, I started again.......

一邊教學生打帽子，一邊織我的夢鳥...
晚上慢慢的補回來了......

三片羽毛...也是它最後的身影
因為線的用量估計錯誤，但斷貨買不到了，所以決定換線重織> <

改用先前買的細羊毛線..
因為沒有繞線，所以熬夜花了一小時左右，把它慢慢繞起...
好多啊 > <
And here are the new yarns for starting!
both were fingering weight :-)

Knitting and waiting for the new year!

2015.1.7
經過每天下班後與週末，忙裡偷閒加起來約30幾小時的努力趕工
目前完成的5片羽毛(葉子?!).....
手機拍照顏色有點跑掉> <

隨著對圖案的熟悉，已經不再需要記號圈了
速度也從一開始的 7小時一片 ----> 5小時
縮減到現在，如果沒有織錯要退回去，大約 4小時可以做完一片^^
(現在覺得花了一個半月的時間，把右手持線改成左手持線是值得的，熟悉後速度真的有差!)

雖然我想針數與原版夢鳥應該差蠻多的
尤其是收邊的地方，從一開始到最後試了大約5, 6種不同方式，也一直拆掉重打
不過看起來相似心裡就很開心了!
畢竟手做就是要享受從無到有(最好是自己思考再做出來)的成就感呀!
最後製做完的這條，在邊邊的部分還是有偷偷做一些不同的嘗試看效果 XD
另外...這兩捆線跑色很美，但是線的接頭有點多……
綠色羽毛線只遇到一次接線，但底色的部份接了 6次線
所以在部份片段跑色順序會有些差別。

I think this one definitely have huge differences with the original pattern at the cast on number
but I am still really excited to make one by my own > <

Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh~~~~
